My name is Brandon Rader. I was born and raised in East Tennessee. My first memories were formed watching a wave of orange and white at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, TN. I spent the better part of my elementary school years in and out of a special needs classroom. My mother worked in that classroom, and I spent many hours helping these kids.
I attended Cleveland State Community College on a baseball scholarship and received my associates degree. Upon completion, I continued my college career playing baseball at Lee University. I received my bachelor’s degree in History and Psychology. There is no history book I will not read. My favorite genre is historical biography. My favorite book is, “Walking with Destiny: Biography of Winston Churchill.”
Upon completion of college, I substitute taught in a behavioral high school setting for 6 months. These experiences led me to the GAL Ad Litem program in Buncombe County. I completed GAL training and started the program in 2018. I worked with GAL in Buncombe County for 2 years. I now work as a Qualified Professional at Clear Sky Behavioral.
I married the love of my life in the summer of 2013. We have been married for 9 years and have 3 wonderful children. I attend Highland Christian Church in Asheville, NC. I spend most of my free time doing all things sports; basketball, tennis, pickleball. I coach a 12U travel baseball team in Asheville.
